Agent was exposed to POSITIVE case and went in Vacant House in S.Jersey

from a relative of mine. She posted on FB last night.

The house on the other side of our side lot is for sale. I have been cutting briar vines in the side lot all day. People have been coming to check out the house every now and then. A man came to look at it and saw her outside he starting talking to her, she couldn't hear so she moved a little closer to talk to him, (but more than six feet away) and he stops me and says, “Oh, don’t get any closer, I was exposed to someone with the virus.”

I responded to her:
oh boy, call that listing agent and tell them what happened. No agent should be sending their clients to a house and first and foremost we have no clear direction from the Governor on essential or non essential workers.
She called and spoke with a man at the office but just to back her up I reached out to the Listing Agent, who is the Broker in the office.

This is what I sent to the listing agent:Good Morning Sandra,
You most likely received a message already from a cousin of mine who lives next door to this property. Yesterday a man was asking her questions about the house, she stepped a bit closer to him (still 6ft away) so he could hear her and he said " don't get to close, I've been exposed to the virus".  He then proceeded to go in to that house. I'm contacting you as well since now with such a huge pandemic this agent could potential have the virus and was not using precautions with wearing gloves and masks, he most likely touched door knobs and handrails and more. I understand this is a vacant house but what if other agents went in right after him, they should be notified.  The stay at order pertains to us, the Governor has not deemed RE agents as essential employees and this is truly upsetting to me since it may have put a relative of mine in harm's way.

Please confirm you've received this email and since this was a showing time appt you know who made appointments to show as well as the agent who she spoke with.
Thank you,
Colleen McMahon
Agent response about 1.5 hour later

Hello Colleen, That is so strange.  I will cease all showings for the next few days as the virus dies on surfaces after a hours.     This home is vacant.  Why would the neighbor go and talk to him during this time of social distancing?  That seems odd. Thank you, Sandra

My response:
the agent approached her and thank you for responding I will let her know

Agent response: Also, can your cousin describe the man that was there?  I see there were two men showing the home yesterday in showingtime, they knocked on her door?

My response:she was outside, she said young guy

Now I saw right thru her question about asking her to describe what the agent looked like, this property is located near a heavy popluated Jewish Community.

As you see my response was just " she said young guy" she has the names of who went in yesterday from the showing time... let her figure that out.

Just a heads up, be smart but be smarter than those who think they are smart!
