Hello All,
I have just learned that Pompton Lakes Fire Department is adhering to State guidelines with fire inspections. Please note that you are to call Al Bruno as usual (973-445-5050) and he will guide you as to where your seller must install the Smoke and Carbon detectors, and fire extinguisher.
He will then call sellers' attorney and notify him that there will be no follow up inspections. However seller will "sign off" that the installations were done as per his verbal guidance, and then he Al Bruno, Fire Dept, will issue the Fire Certificate.
As for the CCO inspection, I could not get information on that except that if the house is vacant, an inspection appointment can be made after filling the application,(I have a copy) and dropping it and a check at the borough municipal building into a basket which will be in the hallway marked "PERMITS".
If the home is occupied, the township has not received guidance as of Monday afternoon, as to how they will handle those. I was asked to call back tomorrow or Wednesday and will do so, to find out if they have received instruction on that.
Best Regards,
Anna Tacinelli
